The staff of
Post Trauma Resources includes:
 Lawrence
H. Bergmann, Ph.D., LPC/S, CTS is the President and Founder
of Post Trauma Resources. His career with survivors of trauma
began with Vietnam veterans in the late 1970s. Since that
time, he has provided psychotherapy to hundred of trauma survivors
and their families, and has worked with business, industry and
the public sector to coordinate and provide trauma response
efforts after natural, industrial and manmade disasters. Dr.
Bergmann coordinates the clinical, trauma response and training
efforts of Post Trauma Resources. He has received the Humanitarian
Award from the South Carolina Victims Assistance Network and
was appointed the State Office of Victims Assistance Advisory
Counsel by Governor Jim Hodges. Most recently, he has been working
with the Jefferson Institute of Justice Studies and the Office
of Victims of Crime, U.S. Department of Justice to develop responses
to mass criminal victimization such as Columbine High School
shooting and the Oklahoma City bombing.

Roger
M. Deal, M.D is the medical director of Post Trauma Resources.
Dr. Deal provides consultation to the staff as well as direct
services to survivors of trauma and specializes in workers
compensation issues for Post Trauma Resources.
Dr. Deal began his work in the post
trauma field while serving as a medical officer in the U.S. Army
in the 1970’s, treating military victims of various trauma ,
primarily aircraft accidents and other physical injuries , and
civilian victims of domestic abuse. He later spent several years
working at the Medical College of Georgia and the VA hospital in
Augusta where he treated Vietnam-era veterans and long-held
prisoners of war suffering from more chronic PTSD.
In 1983, Dr.
Deal came to Columbia to begin a private practice of Psychiatry.
Learning of the work that Dr. Bergmann was doing in trauma, he
began an association with Post Trauma resources, initially
working with patients in his own office. In 1995, Dr. Deal
became Medical director of Post Trauma Resources in order to
work more closely with Dr. Bergmann in providing medical
treatment for the victims of trauma and to provide more
opportunities for teaching the staff about the medical aspects
of PTSD. |

Susan
S. Bergmann, M.Ed, MPA is the Practice Manager of Post Trauma
Resources and coordinates all administrative and financial functions
of the firm. Ms. Bergmann began her career in community mental
health before she become a trainer and family life educator.
After completing her degree in Public Administration, she took
a position as a Management Engineer and later joined Baptist
Medical Center Columbia where she managed Hospice, Social
Work Services and Homecare Resources.

Carrye Addonizio,
LMSW, is a Clinical Social Worker at Post Trauma
Resources and has been with the practice since August 2003.
Carrye has ten years of professional experience working
with children, adolescents and adults. Her areas of expertise
are the treatment of trauma related disorders, sexual
assault/abuse and domestic violence as well as grief and loss
issues. She received her Master of Social Work degree from the
University of South Carolina and her Bachelor's in Clinical
Psychology and Associates in Chemical Dependency from Keene
State College in New Hampshire. In addition to clinical
practice, Carrye is also a trainer/presenter for the Department
of Disabilities and Special Needs, Sistercare and the SC
Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. |

Jim
Berlin, MPA, M.A., LPC/I
brings more than 10 years of experience with Victims in crisis.
He has over 17 years in Law Enforcement. He worked closely with
Sister care, Sexual trauma services and the State Office Of
Victim Assistance and South Carolina Victim Assistance Network.
During his tenure with The Richland County Sheriff’s Department
Jim provided trauma response to officers and departments across
the state to assist when a critical incidents occurred. He
served on several committees concerning the mentally ill and law
enforcement’s response. He will be working close with law
enforcement agencies and the Law Enforcement Victim Advocates
LEVA association across South Carolina to provide assistance and
training support. |

Todd Hanson
is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State
of South Carolina. Todd has over 14 years of clinical
experience working with individuals, couples and families in a
variety of clinical settings, including a residential treatment
facility for boys, a psychiatric hospital, 2 juvenile prisons,
and a number of clinical outpatient settings. He specializes in
the following areas: couples/marital, family/blended family
issues, anxiety/panic attacks, depression, spiritual,
child/adolescent, and parenting issues. He earned his Masters
of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pacific
Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA in 1997. Todd has been a
Clinical Member with the American Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy since 1999. He served as the membership
committee chair/co-chair for the South Carolina Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy from 2001 through 2005. Todd is
married, has two children, and is active in his church.

Jamine
L. Leslie, MSW, LMSW, LISW-CP,
has been with Post Trauma Resources for
four years. Prior to joining the staff of PTR, she served as
director
of clinical services for an area sexual assault center. Ms.
Leslie's
background also includes providing services for children in
foster care
and school-based intervention. Her clinical work focuses on
children
and women's issues.

Nicholas A. Lind, PsyD is a
clinical psychologist who has been with Post Trauma Resources
since 2005. He served five years in the US military, in which he
oversaw the suicide prevention program and mental health
services at Shaw Air Force Base. He received his Masters and
Doctorate from Indiana State University and completed his
internship at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. His work
at Post Trauma Resources includes psychological assessments,
neuropsychological assessments, fitness for duty evaluations,
independent medical examinations, treatment planning and
implementation, and oversight of PTR’s Medicaid program.

Stephanie Matkins , LISW-CP,
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Winthrop
University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the
University of South Carolina. Ms. Matkins provides clinical
services to children, adolescents, adults and families. She
specializes in the areas of foster care, adoption, domestic
violence, child physical and sexual abuse, parenting issues,
adolescent issues, depression and anxiety and trauma response.

Lisa
Southworth, M.Ed., LPC
was
originally trained as a teacher for students with disabilities
and continues to have a strong interest in children issues by
which they are impacted. Her clinical work not only includes
children but adults. She has focused on survivors of sexual
assault, incest and trauma. Ms.
Southworth is a member of the Richland County Sexual
Assault Response Team (SART) and
has volunteered with the SC Foster Care Review Board as a local
board member since 2001. |

Jennifer
Wolff, MSW, LISW,
has
been associated with Post Trauma Resources for more than ten years and
brings around twenty years of work experience in the mental
health field. A former juvenile probation officer, Ms. Wolff
has worked extensively with children and adolescents impacted by
trauma and has served as a Group Home Director, State Level
Administrator in a state agency, and social worker in a
residential children’s home. She is currently an approved
clinical supervisor under the Board of Social Work State
examiners and provides trauma response services, coordinates
trauma response efforts and is active in training mental health
and social service professionals in the areas of child and
adolescent trauma. |
